MTV held their annual European Music Awards ceremony in Frankfurt’s Festhalle on 11th November 2012 and it was a glitzy affair.
German-born Heidi Klum seemed at home hosting the evening’s proceedings with humour and panache. As the host of Project Runway, she evidently felt the pressure in the fashion stakes. Fortunately she did not disappoint, sporting no less than eight outfit changes throughout the evening all of which came straight from Versace’s spring/summer 2013 collection.
Heidi’s ensembles included a revealing, lace-up, turquoise dress with a daring split to the hip; a white corseted bodice with cut-out sections and full tulle skirt, teamed with a top hat; and an orange and black party dress, with black leather bondage biker boots. Klum set the tone and the bar, but some rose to the style challenge; Rita Ora looked stunning in a red Marchesa gown, followed by a dramatic red catsuit for her onstage performance. Meanwhile Taylor Swift kept it simple and elegant in a white art deco evening gown by J Mendel.
